Rueben Sierra a Twinkie?

100% correct, he is a much better bat than what they have had in the past off the bench. Like they said in the Star & Trib this morning, you had Ryan, Tiffe or LeCroy to choose from, I would rather see a proven hitter in that spot. One question I have is why did they pass on signing Thomas for $500,000 and sign Sierra?? Both are injury prone??

Was pitched around in last years playoffs. He's stayed in great shape and at 40 can still turn on any fastball in the league. He's younger than that guy that the Braves have got for this role. I think it's a great signing. I just hope the Twins have enough sense to keep Soriano up. He could be the best option for a lefty out of the pen. Gotta be better than Mulcheesearmholland. smile.gif

Maybe he meant he hopes we keep Soriano in the outfield up in Toronto instead of trying to trade for him? I guess I'm with you, I think he meant Liriano, since Soriano's right handed...

Julio Franco would be the guy the Braves had/have. He'll be 48 this August. They paid him one million last year.

Julio Franco and ricky henderson are two of the best players this leauge needs. they love the game so much, they refuse to stop playing. last I heard, henderson is still playing in minor leauges. I wish other players would follow there lead.
