Winter Trout

Here's a 20" Rainbow from opening weekend, we had a fun time catching some trout. Dang, for their size, they sure are some brawlers. Released every trout we caught. Yea, it's a put and take fishery, but none of us needed to take any this time.

Anybody else get into some???

We got into some Lakers last weekend... Nothing huge but I did catch a 21'' and a 22'' that put up a heck of a fight with a light walleye rod and reel.

This laker went about 10 1/2 lbs. Caught up in the Crow Lake area couple of weeks ago.

What a great picture! That also looks like some pretty heavy duty equipment there too. Big tackle=big fish I guess. Congrats!

Looks to me like a Polar ice Blue rod, "broomsticks" to some but up in Ontario you never know how big a fish might hit.

I remember a few years ago seeing a picture of a 32# laker in a newspaper in Atikokan.
