I think you will like the Quick Draw from Cableas.I have two of them and some of the HT360'sThey are very adjustable and you don't have to worry about the holders slipping on the mounts. They lock down hard.
If your going to use rods that have a thick butt on the handle, they will not fit in the Quick Draws.Thats when I use the 360's.Short handle rods won't fit the 360's.Nice to have a set of both in the boat. They all fit the same mounts.

I also just installed the RAM 2000 Mounts on my new boat and O really like them. On my old boat I had the Scotty Flush Mounts. Many problems with those, specfically related to the "gears" in the holder getting stripped. I was pulling Planer boards on Lake Pepin, and plunk in went a full rod/reel combo. Luckiliy it was connected to the board, I circled back to the off-shore board and hand pulled in the rig. wink.gif Thank goodness. The RAM 2000's seem to be better built with a stronger plastic material.

Have a look at Drift Masters. They are carried by Cabelas finally. They are quiet, extremely strong, quick to release and cheap. I don't understand why more people aren't using them?????

How were you guys stripping out the Cabelas/Scotty holders?
I have had hundreds of fish including 40lb cats hanging on them and never had a problem except for the whole works getting ripped right off the boat.I am backing them with bolts and big washers now! Still work like the day I bought them...over 5 years ago.

I haven't had problems with scotty's either.
I can see 10-15 years down the road I may have to update them b/c of wear.
I have had lots of hard hits from pike in them and they haven't failed, so I'm not complaining.

The best on the market without a doubt is the Downeast salty!

Thorne Bros in Minneapolis sells them!

I speed troll of upwards to 5 mph with 5-8 ounce lures for Muskies, now imagine all that stress when a large fish slams the lure. Never had a problem, they are by far the best I have ever seen or used!

Ram is the best but expensive. I run Scotty's and Cabellas, they are one and the same and a little easier for me to afford. I've never had a problem, but sometimes the rod locking ring is hard to turn.
