Vex FL-8se Charging problem

Hi all I just started to ice fish. So I went and bought a fl-8se. I've had it on the charger for 12 hours and no red light on the charger. The battery level says its 100 percent charged. Wondering can I use it yet or do I have to wait for the light on the charger to turn red?

Pop it off the charger and use it. 12 hours is more than plenty to charge up these batteries. One suggestion though....when you are planning to charge the battery, be sure to bring up to room temperature along with the charger. These don't charge well when cool or cold. Charge your equipment in the warmth of the house.

Initially out of the box you will want to charge it for atleast 2 days or until the red light on the charger come's on. After 12 hours you can indeed use it but once you put it back on the charger leave it plugged in until the red light comes on the charger. For every 1 hour of use, leave it on the charger 2-3 hours. Make sure you charge it after each use.

Yes they do take atleast a few days initially. I just bought a new fl-8 genz pack on thursday and brought he home plugged her in and the light finally came on this morning.

Does the red led on the charger come on when you disconnect it from the battery? It should and if it doesn't you have a defective charger or a burnt out led.
