Aqua View Scout vs Flasher--Which to buy

flasher all they way. i have both and use my flasher 100% of the time and aquavu about 10% of the time. flashers are way more versatile: shoot through the ice for depth, don't need constant adjusting to see your bait, excel in cloudy water and at night, and many other attributes...

You won't ever regret buying a flasher over a camera from what I have seen and even I am going to buy a second flasher before a camera for those times when a send unit is needed when I have friends along that don't have one .

I say a flasher also. I just got a aqua view srt from my wife and it is great no dought. If I had to choose one for all around use, I think you can get more bang for your buck with a flasher. Later if you have some extra cash just laying around I would highly recommend the camera. The camera is really nice to have and you can learn alot from it, but I would rate it second to a flasher.

It appears your decision has been made. I just wanted to weight in. I use my vex to fish. The camera is just a little extra toy for the slow time or to fine tune. What the camera will allow is to determine an area with green oxygen rich weeds vs dead weeds. It also will let you see it the bottom has any kind of transition.

One cool thing I have seen with the camera is if you are set up on the edge of a decline or drop off. It gives you a real feel of how the fish hide in the deeper water and ambush the prey on top of the bar.

Thanks everyone for the input. It really made my decision easy. Now all i have to do is learn how to really work the thing to its optimum, and a little better at understanding the machine. but other than that thanks alot. you all should work at vexilar!!
