After waiting for about a month, I finally got things worked out with a the
HSOList
guy and got my shipment of Maxxima lights today. I had to wait for him to get them in, but now I have them and can't wait to get home and try it out. I saw that he put others back up on his
HSOforum
. He was a good guy to deal with and came through for me in the end. If your interested, look under the
HSOList
motoring section.

Nitroant,

Did you get those Maxxima lights set up yet? How do they work? Anyone else have any luck with the 54 bulb Maxximas that were being sold on hsolist? Post some pics if possible.

Couple of things. I am amazed at how big this post has gotten. The lights I got out of the LED trailer lights are awesome. I was north last weekend, (Detroit Lakes area) and helped a buddy remodel his big house. He uses two Humphries right now in a 8x18 which is quite bright. I put my little 5 LED's by a couple of the holes and his dad went nuts. He thought it was great

I also picked up a 12 LED lantern at Pamida up there for $10. It isn't great but that, plus my mini lights and the bike light I got off of hsolist should be more than enough with a heater in my Clam 5600. Now we just need more ice.

I also talked via phone with a NAPA store in Osseo and they thought they might have white LED's in a catalog that they could order from. I haven't gotten time to get over there and look but it might be worth a shot and be local for me.

MN...Finally got a reply this a.m. I order also on the 27th, and I guess they were shipped the 31st but like I said I never heard anything. It took 4 emails beforeI heard back, but all seems to be ok. I just worry when I pay for something and can't reach anyone. grin.gif

Gus,

Do you have pics or diagrams on wiring these 1157's. After looking through this entire post, I guess I like your lights the best, but am not sure how to wire them for high/low useage.

Also, did you say you used telephone cable?

Teddyboy-

Yes, after working with the seller for almost a month, I received my Maxxima lights and installed it the house with the flang kit. It looks just like the pictures that were posted on like page 14 of this thread. I got everything in this past weekend. The light is a little more focused than I had hoped. I was hoping that even though it was a flat light it would spread light more like a flood light does, but still seems to be O.K. I think once I get out on the ice the white color of the snow and ice will light up the floor area better than my garage floor did. I have not tried it on the ice yet. I did get the two lights, so I could always put another one in if I want, but I think it will be O.K. Like what has been said before, its a nice solid unit that is sealed and should last a long time and it will keep me from having to use a lantern. I did a test run with the battery and it went for about 18 hours on an almost full charge battery so I can get several nights out one charge even if I put the other light in. Overall pleased with the entire set up. Easy set up, solid, sealed, always in the house. Now I just have to remember the extra vex battery each time.

Nitroant, Remembering the battery becomes a habbit, I have mine right next to my Vex,Camera, and Strikemaster ElectraLazer, when you come home from a trip to the lake, its all unloaded and the chargers are plugged in, next time you go, grabbing the extra battery is no problem, its sitting right there with the rest of the stuff. smile.gif

Help. Just got my light bar LB1. Ordered four of them. Found the tubs to put them in, no sweat, but I have no way to put power to the lights? Whats up with that. No, as you might expect, I am not a electronics guy. Been all over St. Cloud, nobody has a power connector for them. mad.gif

How did they ship them? threw the mail? or UPS, FedEx or What??? I've shipped out 100's of lights sinse just before christmass and use U.S.P.S. and most if not all of the packages were recived in 24 hours or less when shipped in Minnesota, some of the lights went to the east coat and they got them in less than 5 days??? My sister sent me a package with DHL from Washington state and it took over 10 days same as a friend from Florida, the package took over 7 days to get here. So maybe when you order your lights you could request them shipped threw the United States Postal Service...? just a thought, and I use the tracking code as well, seemes to help on the speed if they know your watching its movements.
