Just curiuos as to who you think will place top five at homestead and who is going to win the cup? Smoke or Jimmies Johnson? Edwards on a long shot? I'm thinking Stewart, Gordon, Kenseth, Martin, Johnson, Edwards, Busch is how they will finish the race.

Jimmy Johnson takes out Stewart, Edwards, Biffle, and himself on the first lap and Mark Martin wins while leading the most laps and Wins the Chase by a single point.

Or my second choice would be Gordo taking out Stewart early "he still owes him one" and JJ winning the Chase. grin.gif

Lots of people owe Stewart one the way he drove last year... In reality though, the Rousch and Hendrick cars will again dominate this weekend but no one overtakes the 20 in the points. JJ finishes second yet again...

It has been a pretty good year for Roush and his cars run pretty well on the 1.5 mile tracks. Hendricks cars are looking better each week and Vickers/Busch may be the teams to beat next year. You can"t count out Gordon as he is always in the mix and can win on any given track if given the right equipment as well as Johnson but they do have some young talent moving through the ranks.Me, I'm looking for some insight into the top five for the weekend as I have a stake in the finish. I'm in a fantasy league and am sitting in 6th. 6 points out of fifth(money), 10 pts out of 4th adn 14 points out of third. I'm looking for favorites and a lineup that will put me in the money. Selfish yes but the bait money would really come in handy going into winter. Suggestions would be appreciated!

There aren't many Blue Oval fan on this site, so I have to do my part! ha ha

I was a Martin fan from the time I started to follow NASCAR, so I was also a fan of Burton, then came Kenseth, then Biffle was tearing it up in the Trucks and Busch Series. I always disliked Kurt Busch, I wasn't much of a Chad Little fan, but man I loved that John Deere paint scheme. Of course Edwards is becoming a fan favorite, watched him since he was wheeling an unsponsored truck with Jon Wood for Roush. So over the years I've become partial to MOST of the Roush drivers, plus I'm always cheering for E. Sadler and old man Jarrett also.

My hunch is that Smoke cool.gif is going to finish out of the top five but just slightly ahead of JJ. Gordon and Jr may have a good race but I think the youngsters will run up front this week with Vickers, Busch and Edwards up there and Rusty will have a good race as a last harrah!

Just a side note, I like the passion that Stewert drives with and I think Edwards has quite a future ahead of him. He races on the edge all the time. How many times have you seen him get loose coming out of a turn just but head straight out of it. Dirt track experience is an awsome thing! cool.gif

This is how I would like to see it: Tony and Jimmie wreck each other and Edwards takes the checkered flag for a double backflip!! Or Tony struggles and Biffle passes Jimmie on the last lap taking away 5 points costing Jimmie the cup by giving Tony a few point lead and the championship!! Just about any scenario other than a Hendrick car winning the cup!

Top 5

Biffle

Stewart

Martin

kenseth

Edwards

I just submitted my fantasy lineup. I went with the 99, 6, 24, 5 and the 39 car to round out my salary cap. I'm hoping for two top five four top ten and for the 39 to be in the top 20. Hopefully all these cars will still be running at the end of the race! Good luck with your picks this week. Just think 3 months till Daytona!

I had to take a cheap car to fill out my salary cap, that one fit the bill. Otherwise I would have had to take all of the really good cars if I didn't have to worry about the salary cap.
