Metro Deer processing locations

Does anyone have suggestions for a place that processes deer in the metro? Preferably central or NW metro. I live in Minneapolis, and hunt near Princeton. Looking for a place that I could realistically drop off deer on the way home, and not have to go TOO far to pick up venison when it is ready.

Looking for a place that does a good job on the butchering, and preferably make decent sausage. I make my own jerky, so that isn't an issue.

Anoka Meats is on the way. Its on west main street near main motors. I would take it to A-Meat Shoppe in Maple Lake though. I think they do a great job, but its kinda out of your way to go there. There is also Elk River Meats, I have never taken a deer there, but some of the guys I work with swear by that place.

I process my own venison, but I can say Anoka Meats does a great job on pork and beef. I couldnt imagine them screwing up venison. Everything I have ever had from there was wonderful.

I have had processing done at Von Hanson's in Champlin and Monticello. Both did great work, were fast and very reasonably proced. I prefer the one in Monticello, but you couldn't go wrong with either one of them.

There is also a Von Hanson's right on 169 in Elk River...right across from Coborn's.

Dehmers Meats in St. Michael. You won't be disapointed...

I know Mark Dehmer, his brother runs/owns this place and has done my deer processing the last two seasons... very good job! I also like Pekarna's down in New Prague I believe.

P.S. Dehmers is closed on Sundays I believe.
