Winter ATV oil

What do you guys use for winter oil? I need to change to something lighter or a synthetic. How is the Amsoil 0-40 4 stroke oil? Had a hard time starting last winter.

I use the Amsoil 0-40 year round and it works really good in cold temps. Worth a try.

I use the 0-40 Amsoil year round also and have never had a problem with the machine not starting in the winter. I even went out when the big cold snap hit last year when it didn't get above 0 and still never had a problem. I would recommend it to anyone having problems in the cold.

I know they sell it at Fleet Farm in Fargo and I have seen other signs around town saying they are authorized dealers. They might have dealers listed on their HSOforum.(if they have one) I have a friend that is a dealer so I just get it from him when he buys his winter supply of snowmobile oil. If my memory is right, I think it is around 4 bucks a quart.

I've been using the Polaris 0-W40 synthetic, no problems at all.
