Time for Buzzy and the rest of the Twinkie Eatin' people who have suckled on Injun "johnson" for the past few weeks to try a new dish. It's fresh baked crow! I believe that Commanche Jim will be serving it up free to any of you FM'ers who have the courage to show up to his restaurant.

well I must say, I was pulling for Cleveland to pull it out, but at the same time I have waited to comment on cleveland possibly winning division blah blah blah through yet another white sox skid, glad I didnt cuz I think it would look pretty bad now that its all said and done and sox have come out central division champs.

Playoffs begin a new season, and may the best team win!

You are so right Buzzsaw. I don't any of us here have a problem giving the Sox credit for winning the division. They would probably get more credit, however, if they didn't tank away their lead during the second half of the season. The main issue here with the so called "SOX" fans here is they are fair weathered. Sox lose, they are no where to be found. Sox win, brag, brag, brag. They can't even have a general baseball discussion without bragging about how great the Sox are, how great Buerhle and Garland are and how much Santana sucks as a pitcher. Unfortunately is nearly impossible for them to carry on a debate/discussion on this board.

PS: Windy, you obviously must be a Bears fan. Funny we never see you over in the football forum. Wonder why?

well in some ways, just getting a response to his post is probably the only thing he is looking for. If we say we like or dislike the sox or not, I dont think it matters.

Just knowing hes getting attention is what satisfies him, what other reason would anyone keep coming back. Its obvious he has nothing better to do, unless the sox are losing of course.

I can picture him sitting behind his keyboard, after just posting another worthless take on the sox, and hitting the F5 button (refresh) over and over just waiting to see the first response.

I'm with Buzz and DTE. Where have you been? Buzz, DTE, Sled, myself have all been here pretty much each and everyday while our team went into the tank. We took the abuse, the teasing and the embarassment over an inept offense. You take off when things look the worst and then come back once you know you can brag it up. I would like to hear you address Santana's second half finish and possible ERA title. How about your vaunted 1-2 punch of Buerhle and Garland and their failures in the second half? All these things and others you have ignored. I will eat crow any time but only if its served up by somebody with enough integrity to do it himself when the shoe is on the other foot.

But it was the ole "rope-a-dope" trick. I just sat back and watched you guys go crazy. It was very enjoyable watching post after post as the race got closer as you tried to lure me out of my bunker. It was even better watching the posts crawl to a halt as it became clear that the Sox were going to prevail and would not give up their lead for ONE GAME OF THIS SEASON! I am sure Commanche Jim is reading the posts and I know he will appreciate the sweetness of watching all you Twinkie fans cheer the team that passed you up like a Grandma in a Taurus on the Expressway, only to have your hopes and dreams crushed...Not Once...But Twice this season! I guess that's why they call you, The Twins.

It doesn't even matter if we lose in the playoffs, it was fun watching you get sooo close and not put the bisquit in the basket! (and not even with your team, but with an enemy)

This is awesome. I hope you can make it in to Stoney Point for the playoffs. We had quite a crowd today. I've been looking at all the posts, but I didn't want to hex em. Actually, with all these guys STILL calling the Sox chokers, we could win the division by 6 games. How many games back are the Twins.........the same Twins everyone and their mother predicted to win it all?

I addressed the pitching comparison on another thread but hey, I don't mind chewing my cabbage twice. When all is said and done you can throw out all the little stats that make for great debate and get pitchers to bonuses here and there. Like the great Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer said...JUST WIN BABY! So, in comparing the 1-2 punch of Buehrle and Garland against the great YO Han. THEY BOTH HAVE MORE WINS THAN HE DOES...END OF STORY! Sorry, fishy my lad but you will have to find another diner cause this pardner ain't eatin' crow tonight. Sorry, Charlie. Ain't no way I'm believing that the 1-2 Chicago boys had a better year than Santana. All a pitcher can do is hold the other team down and no one did that better than him. Wins and losses are as much a product of run support as good pitching. You can gloat all you want about the Sox making the playoffs and the Twins going in the tank but don't even compare Garland and Buehrle with Santana.
