Favorite Hunting Magazine or Paper

I'm looking for a LOCAL (Minnesota) magazine or paper that is VERY helpful to the bowhunter on both tips & tactics as well as with how to's on bow's in general. My favorite has been outdoor news but they cover everything not just bowhunting.

What are you guys reading???

I don't know of any local 'tips' publications, just not enough subscribers to make it go. But whitetails are whitetails whether they are in MN or Missouri or Manitoba. I like 'Bowhunter' and 'Deer and Deer Hunting'. D&DH is more biology and Bowhunter is more gear and trips and hunting advice. Going to the inlaws this weekend and on top of my reading stack is the whitetail issue from Bowhunter! Looking forward to it!

I would have to say Bowhunter is a good one. I dont subcribe to it but I just wait til the father in law gets his or I will buy it once in awhile. Thinks he also gets a couple other bowhunting magazines but I like Bowhunter the best. Just my two scents ( cents ). Brian

I've seen Bowhunter a few times I think & I guess it hasn't really left a big impression on me, but I'm not very into the high tech stuff of equipment. I love D & DH, but I'm so much more interested in the deer & what they do & why. I'm most interested in figuring out where, when, & how to hunt them, then so much with what piece of equipment. My wife might argue against that based on some of the equipment I do have, but she's not a bowhunter. That's just my style I guess.

I suppose I'm really out there on this one, but I actually am a little embarrassed to say I have a reasonably expensive boy, not for the crowd on this site, but compared to what plenty of guys hunt with. Maybe that's because there's so many people who hunt with so much less equipment in my area. They still love to hunt, they just can't afford much gear.
