What's your favorite jig worm?

I've had an inventory of Mann's Auger Tail worm in the grape color but am just about out. I use them on a mushroom jig head and have had good luck with it as a search bait. What do you all like to use on a mushroom jig head?

Trucker -

I like the Zoom Dead Ringer (4") for a C-tail and the Culprit 4.5" for ribbon-tail. Pumpkin/chartreuse, black/blue, red shad, and grape shad have been good to me at various times....I rarely throw a jigworm bigger than these two with the exception of Bunjee Worms (7") in black.pumpkin and junebug.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Being an Exude guy it pains me to say.. Of all the plastics I have in the boat.. all are Exude EXCEPT the ones I use for jigworms. I love the Lindy Munchie Thumpin Ring worm. They are a ring worm with a great tail on them. I usually use the one that is 3.75" in length.

Thanks to these fish hitting when nothing else would, I now have another tackle satchel and much of it is plastic. The Exude and the "other" that Dietz mentioned make up the bulk of the worms, all in 7" length. I figure if a shorter bait is needed a quick bite and wallah.

A couple posts mention shorter, 4", worms and Culprit. I have a bunch of the Culprit 4" ringies that I hang on a plain hook as the top bait while doing a DeBuque(?sp) rig for walleyes thru the winter months on the big river. The smoke/blue-black flake and the watermelon/ red flake are hotties for that purpose, but now some are in that bass satchel as well.

I've had good luck with 7" Bungees on a black mushroom head for lake smallies - usually the blue fleck color. For largies in brush, I like a 1/4oz Chomper's brush jig with a 7 or 10" power worm, blue fleck again or black w/ blue tail.
