I'll BRAGG cool.gif

Took 1st place on a multi-species league here in St.Cloud! Points were awarded based on the type and size of fish caught. Never in 100 years expected to win since I had never been on the waters.

Here are our league results for the year....I'm on team Kime/Herman STANDINGS

12th so far after not doing so well on a couple lakes but have been slowly gaining and hope to bump up a few spots after tommorrows tourney.Finnished 4th overall last year, not bad considering there were quite a few new lakes in the hat.Overall my fishing has been a little slower than usual this Summer but Fall is just around the corner.

Haven't done too well in my jr. tournaments this year, except finished top 10 in state which made me a little happier.

But I am more excited for next year because I will be joining my first adult club. We've had one tournament so far this year and it went pretty good. One more on tonka in sept. then the rest next summer. I can't wait!

I fished the LETS league this year.. What a fun group of guys. I had a blast. And was lucky to walk away with the season championship.

I fished two open tournaments with some friends and placed 2nd in both and cashed small checks.

All in all, a fun season. However, its not done yet.

Just fished club tournaments this year. I'm sitting 3rd overall and won one last weekend on Lake Vermilion. I don't have a prayer to win the whole thing this year, but I have a chance to catch the 2nd place guy. Bob, I'm gunning for you. grin.gif

Our club is called Lunker Landers. We were B.A.S.S. club from 1976 until 1990. We got sick of the political talk and decided fishing was what the club was about. Not selling raffle tickets and fishing what was a poorly organized state tournament. I've heard the Federation is much better organization nowadays. However, I doubt we will attempt to return and probably couldn't get back in due to the already high number of clubs.

I would, however, recommend to anyone that wants to improve their bass fishing abilities to consider joining a club. You'll be amazed how little you know and how fast your skills improve. Plus, you'll meet a heck of a lot of good guys and a few jerks too. wink.gif

Ray -

Couldn't agree more - been fishing Federation club now for the last two years and really love it for the most part.

THis year I took third three times in two club tourneys and an early season river event. Last couple I did not do very well but put my non-boaters on some good fish confused.gif Over-all good enough to qualify for the State Event on Le Homme Dieu next week which is really a fun week of fishing.

Daze Off

The small club tournament thing is a blast. I've been doing it now for 6-7 years and enjoy it every year. And if you pay attention, you can learn a bundle of new techniques, as well as just basic fishing knowledge. I'd recomend it to anyone. Especially if your a proclaimed walleye guy in the bass man's world.

Closed circuit to Ray: I'm planning on holding you off and keeping 2nd place!! But welcome the challenge since 1st place is locked up.

Deitz,

What do you think? Eye-lander? Should we even let him participate here with handle like that? Actually, it's about time he did. Welcome to the joint, Eye-lander.

If you finish 2nd this year, you're welcome to come in here and proclaim yourself 1st loser. grin.gif I guess that might make me 2nd loser. confused.gif

Glad you finally joined up.
