If you have a blind, it really doesn't matter too much what you wear. I usually just wear a pair of jeans or even shorts in the early season. I do wear a camo shirt, but I think you could get by with a black or brown shirt. I think last year I even wore an old faded gray one. As long as it isn't a bright color, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you aren't planning on using a blind I would buy one of those camo cover up suits that they sell for around $40 for the set. They are just thin material in a cornfield or stubble camo that you put over your regular clothes.

I wear a light cotton green camo long sleeve "T" shirt and green camo light weight cottom pants. Most everything is still green, unless your hunting a hay feild. Dress as light as you can and still be camo. A camo face net is key to keeping the skeeters off and keeping glare down off your face. Fleet farm has all that stuff and more.

Being that it is after Labor Day, I would not wear white it's a fashion no-no. grin.gif

But seriously, I would just try some lighter clothing. I have a thin pair of camo pants, and a OD light long sleave shirt I wear. Then a mosquito net for a face mask. That really dulls the shine of skin.

I'm normally laying out in a damp, dew filled field in the mornings so I prefer the shell of my Columbia Quad Parka w/ a long sleeve camo shirt underneath just incase I need to take off the jacket once it gets a bit warmer. I also wear a pair of GORE-TEX pants to keep dry as well.

To keep the skeeters away, I'll throw on thin pair of gloves to cover my hands, some bug dop sprayed around the body and always a face mask so the face is covered for when those geese come in.

My goal with field hunting is always trying to stay blended with the surroundings. I also will use hay to hide myself as well as lay on old gunny sacks too.

get that microfiber long sleeve tee that is max-4 camo, cool when its hot, warm when it's cold, plus it wicks moisture so you dont get all nasty and sticky when it is hot out. I think they sell them at fleet farm. for pants just a pair of whatever if you are in a blind, and just some cotton twill hunting pants with camo if you have a goose chair.
