VERY impressive pitching performances (except Mays, he sucks) this weekend. If we had any hitting at all, I would be ready to crown us world champs the way the pitching staff has been.

I'm hopeful we can put on a good showing in Chitown this week. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see some fists flying this week!

Here's the equation:

First Place type pitching + Last Place type hitting = middle of the pack

It's so frustrating, 51 or 52-17 if we score 4 or more runs. That means we've won 9 or 10 games when we scored 3 or less, that's not right. It means we don't give up hardly any runs, but we virtually never score, it stinks!

Good battle last night. Nice to take a series from the first place team. They have won 3 of 4 series and the 3 series that they won are first place teams. Still have a month and a half left. If they keep playing like this it could get interesting.

its nice to see, or hear I should say, I havent been watching since they really started to stink it up. I checked today to see they are only 5 out in the wild card. The last couple series were played against good teams.

I might have to watch tonight, Santana vs Buerle, should be a good one.

I hear you guys, I hate to get our hopes up, but if they keep playing well it's not out of the question to get back in the wildcard. There's still a lot of work to do though.

I hope we can climb back and I think if we win tonight, we are withing striking distance. Oakland has cooled down and our pitching can't get any better than it is right now. WOW!

If guys clutch up, we are going to make a heck of a run at it. Only problem is, we have a tough remaining schedule and Cleveland has been pretty hot too. Also, there's always the Yankees.

Hard to believe that we still have a chance the way we have played this year.

Actually I take that back, I just looked at our schedule and it looks pretty favorable for the remainder. We have to play Chisox a bunch, but that's fine. Other than that, it's just Detroit, KC, Seattle, and Texas.
