Question on Guest On-Board Charger?

I'm going to buy an on-board charger this week, found a good deal on a new Guest are they any good? Never had an on-board charger before how long do they last?

Dunno about Guest but an onboard charger is one of the best decisions I made on my boat. In fact I have two Minnkota charger..one is a single bank and the other is a double bank.

i had a guest. it died after a year and a half. bought a dual pro( i think CSI ?) two bank it was still working three seasons when i sold the boat. an onboard charger is great! get home from fishing and plug it in. also great in the winter to keep the batt. up.

i have a Guest, it is 2 years old. Are they prone to early failure? How long should they last? I have a portable that is 15 years old at least and it still works....

I've used Guest on-board chargers for as long I've owned boats large enough to justify one. Only had one problem (one bank failed on a three bank unit) that was quickly taken care of by their GREAT customer service department. Sent mine in for repair and the day after, I had a new one in hand and ready to install. They 2nd day air shipped the new one before my old charger ever hit their door. Personally, I would highly recommend them!!

Guest has been manufacturing marine products for a long time. And you will find that an onboard charger is the greatest thing since.....you know what!
