0 Bobcat45
Hate to say it but you could pick from Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and all good choices. I know Suzuki 50hp is EFI, Not sure about the other two. But I think you would be happy with any of them. If you buy at the right time I know Suzuki has a 6 yr war

0 kjgmh
I would recommend either the Suzuki/johnson or the Mercury. Both are EFI and run really nice.

0 iffwalleyes
hum I didn't realize that. Well I just looked and you even the smaller hp will have smart craft gauge capabilities with is a nice feature. It will be interesting to see how they perform.------------------Grip it and Rip itIFFWalleyesI Fish For Walleyes[email protected]
0 vikes40for60
Go 4 Stroke and go EFI. That is the future. That limits your choices to the Suzuki and Mercury. I am NOT a huge fan of Mercury and I am a PROUD YAMAHA 4 Stroke/EFI OWNER. So if it were me, I would opt for the Suzuki. Good luck with your choice.[This message has been edited by vikes40for60 (edited 02-16-2004).]
0 kslipsinker
I have an EFI 40 Merc that is going on it's third season this spring. It is a great motor if you don't want a rice burner on the back of your boat. I have a Toyota truck, so I can't say bad things about rice burners. 0 Sliderfishn
Honda My favorite story. Parked the boat at the landing on mille lacs. Ran up to truck to get gps that i forgot. Get back to the boat and a guy is standing there looking at my honda. Is that boat yours he asked, I was like, yes, why? why is there water coming out of your motor? he asked. Thats because its running. He was dumbfounded as I drove off.
