Did it happen again in Twinkie Town?

Recommended Posts

Tell me I am hearing things, my Twinkie loving friends. First, Juan Roid-Con gets popped with his "super protein" shakes then The Whizzonator gets a year long vacation and now I heard that Mike Tice got popped for a hundred grand fine for "scalping" Super Bowl tix???? What's next, Tori Hunter selling "knock off" Twinkie jerseys outside the Baggie Dome before games? Don't know if it's true, but that's what I heard on sports radio this afternoon. What's the [PoorWordUsage] up there in Twinkie Town boys?

OH REALLY??? shocked.gifshocked.gif

Gosh that must have been the same incident we talked about WAY BACK IN MARCH!!!! News must be travelling slow down there in Illinois if this is the first you've heard about this. Everyone knew punishment was coming; the NFL just released it yesterday.

Old news, been there done that....now let's get training camp started

I also heard Jerry Reinsdorf is unhappy with the success of the Whitesox this year, and has vowed to dismantle the team after the all-star break. He was quoted to saying he needs to break up a winning team again like he did the bulls.

Don't know if it's true, but that's what I heard on sports radio this afternoon. wink.gif

Sorry I didn't get the stinky buzz back in March on the low life Mr. Tice, how much are they paying head coaches up there? Just heard about it when the actual fine, $100,000 large was handed down. I can fully understand how the Minnesota fans would like to sweep this under the carpet though, pretty embarrasing stuff. As for the other attempts at humor, funny but fantasy, the really funny stuff is the reality coming out of the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Juan Roid-Con, The Whizzonator and now Mike "Need Two" Tice.

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES!

Hey Guys,

Don't shoot the messenger. I just call em like I see em. I wasn't the one "roiding up" and I wasn't the one with The Whizzonator and I sure wasn't the one out on the street hawking Super Bowl tix. Just talking about current events here, and yes this is current as the fine was just announced a few days ago. You Twinkie fans gots to relax a little, lookie here the Sox just got beat two out of three and you guys just swept the mighty D-Rays. Life should be "beer and skittles" up there in the Land of 10,000 lakes.

Oh, and by the by my Buzzy friend, truth is the ultimate trump vs. derogatory. If the truth hurts, so be it. Everything said here is public knowledge. If they didn't want their dirty laundry aired in public they should not have soiled their drawers!

Gene - I was watching the Cub game yesterday and I'll be honest with you... can anyone in the cubs bull pen get an out? Your cubbie bats were doing it for pete's sake they were fighting hard... Man those 1 run losses are the toughest... Don't worry Gene I am not to impressed with my Cardinals lately a 6-4 homestand against some garbage teams? Marquis pitches well and they can't score??? Jason was 2 for 3 with a double and led the offense? We seem to be sputtering and Houston's been hot lately. I am happy for Derrick Lee as the 1st base selection in the All-Star game he deserved it and what a season he's having, good for him.

I can't believe Eckstein made it at short and Rolen made it over Ramirez. I do agree with baseball tonight that the starting outfield should be Carlos Lee in left, Andruw Jones in center and Bobby Abreu in right. Piazza at catcher again??? What are these NY fans doing??? Barret and Molina would have been a better selection than Piazza? Morris against Webb in Arizona for the start of our west coast swing before the break, good luck with the AAA Braves they have been playing quite well for having 9 rookies, Atlanta's farm system just keeps turning out great kids.

Lets just say the Pizza is spoiled. Barret or Molina would have made alot better catchers.

In the AL it is sad to see Mauer got like 5th out of the catchers. They do have a few good ones but Mauer is definitely one of the better ones out there and he is a very highly regarded player.

Fan voting has always ended with some positions based on history instead of current stats and more deserving players have often been overlooked. That is a shame for the hometown fan who's favorite player is passed over but usually they get there as a sub.

No matter to me, the baseball all-star game competitiveness is still the best of all sports all-star games in my opinion. Hockey and B-ball are real jokes to me and very boring, and the Pro-bowl is not much better-haven't seen one of those in about 20 years.

GO NL!

You got that right gene. At least I can stay awake for the the baseball All Star game whereas the other 3 sports versions you mentioned are good for a several hour snooze. Not that there's anything wrong with that... grin.gif

I agree it's the best of the All Star games. I find the NBA game entertaining, but completely meaningless. I absolutely never watch the NFL Pro Bowl even if I'm home watching TV while it's on.

For me the only other sports are hunting & fishing. Nothing against the other ones, they just don't interest me.
