Need a card reader for your lowrance? Try your digicam.

If you have a digital camera that uses SD cards, you can use it as your card reader for mapcreate. I just hook up my camera with the usb cable and a chip in it, and it shows up as a drive in My Computer. Save your maps to that drive, and you're in business. Total cost - zero.

(MMC/SD card not included.

They are pretty afforable now I paid $69 for a 1 gig SD for my camera not sure if you need one that big or not.
