Heres my schedule. Moving to Bemidji for the month of June, maybee longer. Im not going to even work just fish. I have 5 of the best lakes anywhere within a 40 minute drive.

Most of my fishing is the last hour or so before dark, usuall from shore. So its not like I'm out all day - just hoping to make you envious ones feel better.

Mudman,

Yellow really doesn't get pounded in my opinion. Plenty of people fish it, no doubt. But there's plenty of spots to fish. There's only been a few times that I've felt like there were a ton of musky boats out there. Go to Bone or Deer and you'll see what pounded is.

My folks have a lakehome on Lobster near Alexandria, MN. We pretty much live there half the summer. And it's conveniently on my way home from work everyday, so i just have to walk down to the dock, drop it and go. It dies off pretty good like most do in mid-summer, but there are a ton of them in there. In fact, I read a couple of years back, that Lobster had the most muskies per acre than any other lake in the state. Fortunately, Miltona takes alot of heat off of Lobster so it's not crowded and on weekdays i rarely see more than two other boats on the lake. It's kinda weird how ten years ago, all i used to hook into were "hammerhandles". But I think there's so many muskies and big northerns in there now, that the average weight of northerns i've caught have been 4-5 pounds. And i've only caught two little snakes(less than 2 pounds) total in the last two years of fishing there(including through the ice). Nice to see the Muskies are finally cleaning up the trash, lol. At least that's my theory.

That brings back memories! When I was a wee little lad (Already had the fishing bug, badly though.) My Uncle owned the resort on Lobster (Now sadly a trailer campground.). My Dad was a Marine and we were stationed out of state, but my first Minnesota fishing experience was on Lobster during a summer vacation.

Sorry, this has nothing to do with the thread, I'll disappear back into the woodwork now...

PS.

Is there any public access to Lobster, these days? I live in the Cities now, and a nostalgia trip would be nice this summer.
