You are quite the renaissance man. World traveler, self-appointed FM sports thread grammar cop, and general know it all. One thing you may never be is a lawyer or winner of a debate with the arguments you post. You defend the Twins bashing article with the argument that the local writers tend to be biased and then rip our own local guys for their own styles. If we are to accept outside opinions or differing opinions, shouldn't you? If you are allowed to take issue with the locals here can we not take issue with the moron in Chicago or do we have to be as well traveled as you. I have been in 32 states and 5 countries, I think I have read a few different papers and should be entitled to my opinion, even if I would have never left the neighborhood.

I served in the Navy (San Diego, CA) and as you can imagine saw ohhhhh a few places, I also lived in Florida (Tallahassee and Tampa) and have been the NY, PA, NJ, CT, MD, IL, IN, WI, FL, GA, TX, AZ, CA, Hawaii, OK, NV, ND... Canada, the Carribean Islands of Curacao, Aruba, St. Thomas, the Bahama's, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico etc... Mexico... Cancun, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Tijuana, Matamoros.... I'm sure theres more but I don't have any more time to think about sunny days with a cocktail in my hand when it's 30 degrees and nasty here.

Hey Buzz,

I don't know what post you were reading, but the moderator did not "slap the hand" of Backherup. Quite the opposite, he let it be known that he was not going to slap hands when it comes to trash talking on sports forums. As well it should be. I have been trash talking with my two best friends since we were knee high to a tadpole. They were hard core Cub fans and I of course love my beloved Pale Hose. Trash talking in sports is what makes the game great amongst fans, of course, I do not condone it among players.

Backherup, great points in your last post. I guess these Twinkie-lovers can't stand the heat. First their "Cy Young candidate gets rocked with two round trippers and a former White Sox, Mr. Colon, schools the feable Twinks serving up Mr. Santana's first loss this year. By the by, how is the White Sox fifth starter doing this year? Let's compare his lowly stats to the Twins "ace" Record: Santana 4-1 Garland 5-0, ERA Santana 3.29 Garland 1.38, Hits Santana 30 Garland 25, Earned Runs Santana 15 Garland 6, HR's Santana 5 Garland 1. I guess we will soon be hearing about Mr. Santana borrowing some of Mr. Rincon's "magic juice". Take a 10 game rest Mr. "Roid-Con".

Well I got some stats to compare Judy Garland and Santana. How about strike outs Santana has 52 to Garland 17. But then again the sox havent played a team over .500 with the exception of the twins. Santana doesnt have anything left to prove, hes already accompished whats he needs to prove that hes an ace.

As far as Rincon, yeah its unfortunate but lets not jump to conclusions until we know the facts. Perhaps he mixed the wrong shake, but I highly doubt hes on the juice. We should find out some info today in a press conference.

My theory is this: Windy and Backher are actually the same person: Carl Gerbschmidt.

Poor Carl has no team to root for during those long Green Bay summers (at least one that matters), so he does the next best thing; poses as a couple fans of teams that are Twins rivals in a feeble attempt to further draw the ire of Minnesotans everywhere.

I think the personalities are all quite comparable. Sometimes these two guys make Gerbschmidt sound like a sports Einstein.

Hey, it's all in good fun. Just easy to lump the two of you together when you both are so far off on everything you say it's just amazing. I never liked the dome, but I won't turn my back on my team. The notion that the Twins play dirty is silly. Three straight division championships is bound to generate some sour grapes. In the end all we're doing on here is goof off, the results will be at the end of the season.

I don't think the article is fair to Santana, he was doing fine in last year's post season as far as I'm concerned. Too bad Gardy took him out early, I suppose he wanted to save him for the next game. Problem was, until you win "this" game there is no "next game" in the post season.

And Windy, shame on you for tormenting and provoking these fine fellow Twins fans. Enjoy your club's current success, because there's no way they can keep it up much longer.
