SAR5
I wanted to say hello and that i like the forum. A little about me, when i was ten my father took me to Leech Lake for a week fishing trip. It was the best time of my life. Now almost twenty two years latter I am taking him back to the same lodge on Leech lake the end of May beginning of June. I have a lot of questions on what kind of gear, tackle and clothing to bring along. I have alot of questions and have been trying to read previous posts so I dont waste anyones time going over old material. I am grateful in advance for any help and look forward to this forum. Thanks.

Captain B.R.K
Welcome to the site and I am happy for you to find yourself back on the water sharing the fun with your little guy. What you will find on the site are many different forums for which you can find information on. Your first post is real general, so hard to decifier what you are exactly looking for (gear bags, jigs, rapalas, hooks, rods, reels,). Take the time to really get to know the many different forums. When I'm fishing for Bass, I'll go to the Bass forum. If I'm planning on fishing crappies or walleyes-perch, I'll go into those specific forums. As for geographical areas, the site breaks down the major watersheds or bigger lake destinations for you to surf and post in.I think you will find that everyone here is more than willing to share information with you....except for that honey hole on their local lake.Let us know what you are looking for and we'll help you out! Hope you enjoy the site!
Borch
Sounds like a great trip you have coming up. There's nothing I'd rather do than the type of trip you have planned. I try to fit several in each year with my dad. We always have a great time mostly because we're doing somthing we love together. Check out the Leech lake forums especially the week before you head up for the most recent reports. Also, Welcome to the site! Borch

Surface Tension
SAR5, Welcome aboard. Your a good son. Visit the Leech lake forum for locations and presentations that work for that time of year and check with your resort just prior to your trip. As far as clothing, Could be shorts and T-shirt weather or it could be snowing. The breathable rain gear doubles as a shell to cut the wind, use fleece for insulating layers.
