local tracks

its not a nacsar post but it is racing so i hope its ok that i post this, but anyway, i go to school at winona st and was wondering where the closest local tracks are to go watch everyweekend this summer, i would go everyweekedn back home and they are such a hoot, any way if there are any tracks in southeast minnesota let me know, thanx

I think Deer Creak and Dodge County would be closest for you that I know of. I don't know if they still even race at St. Charles at the Winona County track, but that would be closer. There's one over in Wisc. somewhere near there too but I can't remember where, maybe Fountain City. I used to live in Red Wing and went to some of these tracks and Elko a bit.

Dog, amen to the local tracks, brotha. Hope to see ya in Slayton this summer.

I think the track in Owatonna is still running. If so, it's a nice one. Also, try Cedar Lake, WI. You need to pack a lot of cheese going to WI, but it's good racing.

Owattonna runs over there fair and it usually is the USMTS boys and a couple of support classes. Deer Creek is in Spring Valley and they open this weekend along with Lansing and Fairmont. Kasson also runs a 1/4 mile track that is fun to watch. Not much room so it gets pretty exciting. Won't be long now.

There is also the 5/8 mile paved at West Salem, WI. About 15 miles east of La Crosse. Would be about 45 from Winona.
