Gas prices (scouting?)

With the prices looking to hit $2.50 or more by summer in our area and with some areas already over $3.15 a gallon. How do you think it will affect your time in the field.

Summer won't change me at all since I'm not in the field during summer time. It will, however, make me re-think a couple trips for my family in the RV.

Burn more Ethanol.

I don't log many miles over the course of a year as it is, so likely the gas prices will have little effect on me. I will continue to make the hunting and fishing trips because they are worth it.

I feel sorry for the commuters who drive down to the cities everyday...must get old filling up and paying that much.

The price of gas will surely have no affect on summer or fall scouting, I'll still go fill up the tank and burn some fossil fuels, whatever it takes to find ducks.

Won't stop me at all. Just put on 660 miles yesterday in SW MN looking for some snows. It will hurt the wallet a little more however. It is worth it though, anything to get away from doing homework or anything else.

Where is gas $3.15 a gallon already???? Or are you not talking about MN?

Wouldn't be talking MN as our average price is hovoring around $2/gallon statewide. I would say somewhere on the east coast or most likely California...I was out to Cali in January and their prices were downright insane...would hate to see them right now.

Yep gas hit $3.15 a gallon in cali yesterday, if the prices continue to go the way they are may have to rethink nodak this fall and stick closer to home. Did hear they approved opening up oil production in alaska under strict controls however with the controls in place it will still cause higher prices. Maybe it is to reexamine the tax amount on gas. It is somewhere around .80 a gallon i believe. Either way i may ask my family to ship some horses back from Montana. Later

Probably will not affect my scouting at all. For ducks and geese, I seem to have a lot of friends that depend on me to do the scouting. Next year they can buy the beer (after the hunt) and we'll call it even.
