What do the Vikings and the pack have in common?

You say you just wanted to stir things up but at the same time you act surprised by it. I don't think anyone of us are having blood pressure issues over this but we are defending ourselves and out team. Isn't that what you would expect if you are "just stirring the pot"?

Since 98 have been to the NFC championship game twice or was it 3 times, always without a defence.

Last year was kinda neat.

Are you saying some things never change that we constantly stir the pot or about the football teams. Cuz if your talking about the football teams then I agree, the pack are setting themselves up for another 20 yrs of 3-5 win seasons.

When your present and future is brighter than your past you look ahead and revel in your recent and future success. When your future looks bleak or uncertain at best, you ponder the glory days of your past. smirk.gif

I will elaborate on the playoff history, as requested: Many appearances and many nice runs in the playoffs with each ending in disappointment with no Super Bowl victories. There, it is finally out in the open. Boy, I feel better getting that secret out. I am still fairly giddy about that playoff victory in Lambeau though. laugh.gif

I don't believe the Pack will fall apart next year, because they will still have Farve and Green, but there just may be a shift in power in the division. There are three teams in the division that on paper seem to have improved greatly in the offseason. Guess who is not improved? wink.gif

careful boys, you're setting yourselves up for another let down!! high expectations in viking land always comes back to bite you right in the a$$....

I know just what you mean, but the Vikings are my team and I'll always be positive. But any team would be a better team with the addition of Smoot,P-Williams, and Sharper.

Cowart will provide depth at LB, Harris has a good upside and he'll provide depth at LB too.

We're much stronger as a team this year and the purple have a legit chance of winning the NFC.

You are correct Otto...but, I will take the excitement of new beginnings and risk a let down over knowing you don't got a shot from the get go.

It doesnt matter if we have a shot cause we know that all of our friends that came over to watch the first game they lost, will surely be there for the last game they lose. No wagons in Lambeau, just one h##l of a fast moving locomotive!!! WOW!! and I wasnt even drinking when I thought of that smile.gif

Pretty good for not drinking. When I referred to "no shot from the get go" I was speaking in general about any team. As I mentioned in a earlier post, I believe the Pack will always have a chance as long as they have Farve, Green and a decent O-Line. That said, they may be in for a tough year if these upgrades for the Lions, Bears and Vikes pan out.

j bell i cant seem to remember any games were culpepper has had to win when theres seconds left an there behind he may be a good qb. but he wont be great until he can pull off comebacks like farve an elway

Piker, Great post! I was thinking the same thing! If a guy doesn't throw four interceptions in a game to put his team in a hole, he doesn't have to worry about making a comeback to cover up for his and his teams poor effort. Favre is still a good QB, he just FORCES way to much in my humble opinion... maybe he should run more, then a big linebacker could nail him and we could really see if he is as tough as all the Packer fans and John Madden claim he is!
