Bryon
I wrap it around an old credit card or similar and pin it to the shelter (if canvas) or screw it to wall (hard side), transferable for either house you're fishing in.
Dave
I printed my DNR# on a sheet, laminated it, will stick the sticker to the laminated sheet and can transfer the sheet to any fish house. My Otter has the license pouch that will hold the sheet. In another thread somebody said your DNR# won't change, mine did. It even gained a digit! The adendant at the store could not "swipe" my new style drivers license. I wonder if that has something to do with the new DNR#.
Dave
FYI....I called the DNR and asked about my "new" DNR#. I was told the store should've called the DNR when my new drivers license didn't scan through. It ended up making an additional DNR# for me and that's not good. There should be only one DNR# per person. Call the DNR if you have more than one and they will combine the files. Also, when reviewing the CO reports, on the DNR HSOforum, I thought I'd post this as a reminder....."CO Karl Hadrits (Crosby) reports ........ Numerous fish house owners in the area have been issued fines and warning tickets for failing to comply with fish house identification and marking regulations. Fish house owners are reminded that it is illegal to leave a fish house on the ice overnight that does not display at least 2 square inches of reflective materials on each side of the house. Additionally, the fish house must display one of the following three things plainly and legibly on the outside of the house in 2 inch letters or larger: 1) The owner's complete name and address. (A partial name and town are not legal) 2) The owners drivers license number. 3) The owner's Minnesota DNR number. ( a number assigned to only you for life, found on any of your game and fish licenses) The shelter must also display a current Fish House License tag on the exterior in a visible location when used for fishing. Fish houses left out on the ice which are not in compliance with marking requirements are subject to confiscation or disposal, and the owners are subject to fines. For more information regarding lawful fish house placement and marking requirements read page 58 of the 2004 Minnesota Fishing Regulation synopsis. dwag70
I use a hole punch to put a hole in my licence then I bought a Crate pin (looks like a big safty pin that attaches the info to pallets in warehouses) then move it from portable house to house. By attaching it to the zipper. One licence less money. Used to keep it in my wallet but the 2nd time the DNR checked he wanted it displayed out side the house. Also got me checked for everything else ATV regestration Fishing licences for everyone in the house(all legal). probably would not even checked if it was displayed outside. DNR guy that checked me last week said that you need only one of the following on the portable house Full name and address or DL number or DNR number. I go with the DNR number on a piece of lamenated paper

danny berg
I just posted this answer yesterday on a thread with the same topic....Go to Gander and look for the Clam Corp license holder, they are fantistic, or you can order at clam's HSOforum. You don't need to own a clam to use this thing. I haven't seen any other brands of license holder out there but, there probably are.
