stellarfisher
I am wondering how the prostaff and fiel staff for this HSOforum are picked. Also are they paid to monitor the site and answer questions along with fishing certain lakes in the area they live?
Jim W
They are picked now by the current Pro Staff Coordinators. ALl staff are not paid and yes they are suppose to help with the exchange of fishing information.Jim
Deitz Dittrich
No we are not paid. It is volunteer, however there are times when we get deals on some products that sponsor the page as a thank you for the work that we do. For most of us... I can really only speak for myself. I just like being a part of a great comunity(FishingMinnesota.com) where information is exchanged, there are a lot of forums on the net these days, yet, I have not found one that can compare to this one. I believe that Rick(page owner) chooses the prostaff and field staff..

Paul Waldowski
Prostaff and Fieldstaff are nominated by the Coordinators of this site. There posts are then closely monitored and reviewed for content and quality. They are then approved or rejected based upon that criteria. Staff on this site are strictly volunteer. The reward comes with being a part of contributing to the advancement, or pormotion of, the great sport of fishing. Not too mention that we have a ton of fun doing it. stellarfisher
Good Call, I've never fished in Colorado but I have fished in Montana and Wyoming before. Mainly trout out there?? What do you usually fish for?
John19
During the open water, walleyes, pike and wipers. There are a few good crappie lakes, but you kindof gotta keep them hiden, or they'll get worked over pretty quickly. It's amazing how this state treat pike. They consider it a garbage fish, and have lifted all bag limits! The DOW's main focus is trout, and it drives me nuts. Through the ice, I've really been getting into fishing for lake trout. Trout of all kinds is what most people target here through the ice. Rainbows,Cutbows,Browns and some kokenee salmon. Walleyes are tough to get icefishing here, for some reason. I did manage to nail a good bunch of bluegills on Sunday, right in time for the football games .

priorbass
As a FM site sponser I would just like to say that the 8 man pro-staff that we work with are some really good fishermen that love to fish and they fish hard...they can take the rods we build and fish them hard and let us know, good or bad how we can make our products better...I can take a new rod idea, build it and they take it and work and give me feed back...it is fun to work with such a group of very knowalgeable people...with them and there input I know the people that buy from us are getting the best product we can build...so to my pro-staff thanks
