Deitz Dittrich
Because of the really low forcasted temperatures for Saturday morning.. Crappie Tom and I have decided to Change the date of the Backwater Brawl 2005 from this weekend to its new date Feb 19th, 2005. Its not that we are wimpy, its just that these get togeathers are about getting to know each other and meet people from the board. This becomes hard when the temperatures are below 0... Also, hopefully more can make it on the 19th of Feb. It will give you more time to practice your hook setting skills between now and then!! jeffyo45
Where is this taking place at? I would assume the backwaters of a river, presumably the Mississippi. I hope I can make it!
Dan Thiem
Jeffy-Just after you cross the bridge from Wabasha to Nelson. That's what we call the dike road. Look for the parking lot on the right.

All of the low-down on this can be found there. Cost is free, just show up. This has no formal protocol...it is just a few of the pro staff inviting everyone to come down and let us get to know who we are talking to on site....and vice-versa. Instruction on where to locate this event are on that forum/thread. Read up...reply there. Thanks for the interest! Put it on your calendar! we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted January 26, 2005 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted January 26, 2005 Here are a little more detailed directions...Backwater Brawl 2005 on Feb 19th, 2005. 8am to whenever at the Pontoon slough.Directions: Take 61 out of RedWing south to Wabasha. While still a two lane, take the first left exit into Wabasha. Go until you have to stop. It will be a three way stop. Take a left there and cross high bridge and continue to second parking area on right. It's going to be fun and possibly those 14" slabs are biting if not a big pike or two will be fun.
