Hey logon648, Does the L & M on Mora have them? If not when will the one in Cloquet have them again or is there a place in Duluth that has them. I am heading upthere this weekend.

How do you feel lantern lighting affects fishing in the am, dusk and after darks times? At all? Does it spook the fish? Any thoughts?

I bought one and when I got it it did not fit my Double mantal Colman Powerhouse. I had to modify it like everything else I own It still works great!

I just got done emailing Jay about my problem of it not fitting, and he said he just got done makeing a bunch that will fit the powerhouse modele. I asked him how much for them and he said he will send it free of charge!

I had the same problem..bought two and both didnt fit The shield didnt sit low enough for the lattern handle. I had to remove the handle and do some of my own modifications. Works great..now. I might give him a call myself...but I probably can just live with it. Pretty easy fix..as long as the handle does not fall off.

ordered mine Tuesday AM, got it today (Thursday), two days later. Sweet! Man, something so valuable and simple and inexpensive could become the ice fishing product of the year. Coleman should be paying Jay royalties, too. Great idea, great execution!

I agree this is a fantastic invention Jay and Chris have going. Like I have said before Jay is a class act and will do whatever he thinks he can to make things work for ya. Jay also does props, docks, hunting blinds ,canvas work, ice houses etc. etc. etc. It would be great if someone ( coleman) offered Jay some cash for his idea. Then he can take a long over due vacation and maybe even RETIRE and start taking it easy!

Update regarding my last post:

I e-mailed Jay regarding my two Fish Bright lantern covers not fitting correctly. Well, in a moment of clarity, I realized I was an (Contact US Regarding This Word). I had attempted to put the covers over the top of the lantern. I soon realize they go between the glass globe and the screw off cover. Duh!!! The picture on the packaging was fuzzy and there were no instructions. Jay was nice enough to say that I was not the only (Contact US Regarding This Word)…as others had called/e-mailed with the same concerns.

I went home and put the Fish Bright cover on correctly, and guess what, it does work!

Cliffy you arent the 1st person to try that believe me. Just so everyone knows that you unscrew the lid and take it off, then put the FishBright on and replace your lid. Its a lot easier that way aint it Cliffy!

Looks like L&M in Cloquete ran out after 3 days. Marine General in Duluth has them now and for those in the Superior Wi. area I have several on hand. Im in the process of getting them into the Bait Box in Superior and hopefully in Harbor Bait in Ashland.

Duffer Im sure you will love it. What kind of lantern do you run? From what I have found so far it seems like my standard Coleman 2 mantle propane lanterns benefit the most but the Powerhouse and Northstars should really get bright. I just havent used or seen one with a FishBright on it yet.

i run a std propane lantern. i have to complement jay i ran into a little dificulty when ordering i had acendntly orderd 2 one with the wrong bill name i emailed him and he emailed me back fast and took care of it great guy to work with cant wait to try out the product.

Northlander i've got one on a Northstar you can't believe the difference it made no more shadows or dark spots. And i also have one on my std coleman. I don't need a headlight any more to bait hooks. I can now run my lantern at about half, still have more then enough light and i'm saving big on those 1 lb propane cylinders Great Product www.soderbloom.com

What kind of standard colman you have? I have a propane two mantle and a two mantle white gas 275

Viking fan everyone I know that has gotten one has liked it. Im sure you will to. I wouldnt endorse it if I didnt think it was a quality product. It does everything its advertised to do. Besides giving you light where you need it I like that I can save propane by running my lantern at about 1/2 most of the time. When I need to tie a knot I turn it up.When Im fishing its usually at 1/2 to 3/4th power.

It will be great for camping and I know it will be great for Catfishing on the river banks. With this cold weather we are having I really like the added heat I get from my lantern. Enjoy!

Another "two thumbs up" for Jay and the FishBrights! Ordered one for my std Coleman propane (w elect.ing) and it didnt fit. Seems some early models didnt have long enough tabs to fit. Jay immediately sent out another. It would also not fit my Powerhouse but Jay came through again and came up with a model to fit, fits great! The model I got for the propane still didnt fit but I was able to straighten out the tabs and make them just a bit longer, fits fine now. Cant wait to use them this weekend!
