Jigging Bob
I currently have a 8x12 on wheels. I am looking for a non-slippery floor covering material of some sort that would look nice inside. I am pondering on a bed liner roll on truck material so it is some what grippy, but this could be expensive and who knows how it will keep up. I don't think carpet is an option. I would like to here some of your ideas on the subject. Thanks everyone

Gissert
Wow, I thought I was just drunk when I slipped in your house last winter, LOL.Some of that green astroturf looking indoor/outdoor carpet might work. There is abrasive additive you can put in paint that might work, or maybe just some of those adhesive bathtub strips? Northlander
Some good primer then a coat of good exterior paint with some sand in it for traction. Works good. Probably the cheapest thing to do as well.
Eric Wettschreck
Why isn't carpet an option??? Mine is carpeted. Sure it's cheap carpet. I like it. Helps keep the floor warm and it's more comfortable.
viking_fan
You can run to menards and get some pre cut carpet real cheap
Neighbor
I agree with northlanders Idea. Makes for easy clean up and squeejeing ice/water after drilling holes.Just get some carpet remnants or rugs to use in spots you want comfort after every thing is cleaned up and dried. robbies6
Maybe you want something better than this - I bought a rubberized flooring material from Menards that is made to go under area rugs to prevent them from slipping. It is about 1/8" thick, water repellent, tan colored, and easily rolls up. You can cut holes or flaps with a scissors as needed. Works great - I use mine with my portable Winnie (like an Otter) and lay it on the bare ice to minimize slipping, as well as keep the feet warmer. The stuff is pretty cheap, and worth looking at.. smashingpike
You can get some cheap carpeting that lies pretty flat to the floor at a Menards. It's pretty easy to work with and can be stapled-down onto the flooring. That's what I've got in my house and it works great.
cheesehead
Get some good floor and porch paint and sprinkle silica sand on it when it's wet. You could even splash some different colors on it to add some pizzaz.
icehousebob
A quick fix to keep from falling on your butt is the adhesive non-skid strips you put on stair treads or the the cute little adhesive flowers and fish that you put on the shower and bathtub bottoms.
