Thanks for those clips.. every one should watch these.. Its some good info.. I have training in Ice rescue and its some good advive for everyone. Thanks for posting it. Hopfully others will look at this and thank you as well.

I agree it is well worth watching…

I normally carry Ice Picks around my neck until mid January (depending on the particular ice conditions) and always a light 50 foot rope for that reason alone but I have never thought about carrying a “Whistle”, funny it seems so simple but I don’t know anyone who carries one. I think I’ll throw one around my neck for early ice.

Wow, that guy is nuts. But I guess what i've learned from this is to try to keep horizontal to try to get out, also if everything fails, at least try to freeze your arms to the ice so you don't go under.
