shields or "ice cracking"

Have any of you fished ice cracking lake or shields lake in SW mn? If so, any tips?

I live in SW MN and have never heard of those lakes. What town are they by??

Shields is by Fairbault but I have never heard of ice cracking lake before either.

Shields is near Faribault, I believe. Friends say it can be decent for sunnies. Never been there myself.

shields is in shieldsville my cousin lives like half a mile from the lake.

ice cracking lake is near Ponsford, up by Park Rapids. Its a real small lake. Ive never fished it, just know about it cause a friend of mine bought a resort there a few years back.

General shields lake is located on hy 21 west of faribault mn., Kaderlick bay, middle of the lake west side is good for sunfish, stay away from the point , always poor ice south bay by the acess, middle of that bay just before the center bar and along the west shore, public acess north shore off hy. 21 all the way across the , lake to the s-e shore 8 ft. water. Why is it when you fish a lake the fish always are on the other side? there are some eye holes and bars in the center of lake, will be houses on them later, no ice on shields as of yesterday. this year reminds me of 1959, mild dec., cold and lots of snow jan. and feb. Don;t get excited and do something foolish wait for good ice.
