Garett Svir1582813971
I would have to say the Vexilar FLX-28. I upgraded to the pro view transducer last season and considered it an absolute game changer. Being able to adjust the cone angle saved me a ton of time and drilling when searching out crappies in deep basin areas.
Scott O.
While I would absolutely love to try out the FLX-28, the price tag is way more than I can afford. So I'm looking forward to trying out Clam's new tungsten jigs, spoons, and Maki plastics for perch and trout here in the Hills this season and I'm hoping to get the new Thermal Legend if possible. Savage Brewer
I have the new Clam 6" drill auger kit and a 8" clam Edge gas auger for this year. Let the drilling begin! Heck to be honest, I am just excited to get out at all, I haven't fished on ice in quite a few years.
palisade1kid
I also scored on a FLX-28 along with the new Jason Mitchell 5000 insulated hub...huge footprint with 5 sides. I am also sporting a bevy of the new Clam tungsten jigs and maki plastics. Now I just new some new cleats...Kahatoola makes a great set ...I'll get them at the ice show in a few weeks. S. Thompson
I'm also looking forward to trying out my new FL-X28 this weekend in the boat before ice up. If all goes as planned, I'll be upgrading my older Otter Cabin to a new Jason Mitchell Thermal X two-man shelter this weekend.
S. Thompson
I should add that I picked up some Makiplastics last winter. Best plastic I've ever used on the ice. The perch went nuts over purple Jamei's. It'll be great addition to the Clam family.
Corey Bechtold
Definitely the Vexilar FLX-28! Good fishing, Corey Bechtold
UKCM
I bought an iceducer for my HDS 5. I have been using it for GPS in the winter, I am excited to try it as a depthfinder. Still have my trusty Vexi for backup, but interested seeing how this works on the ice as well.

blackdog1101
I got a new pair of Sorrel Glacier boots. They look great and seem like they'll be plenty warm. Got them on sale on the internet "River" site.
JohnMickish
I'm looking forward most to getting to know my FLX-28. As a Marcum then Humminbird guy I have to say that this Vexilar has me excited to hit Lake of the Woods and fish the deep mud. I think the screen color choices will make the difference there over the other units. The problem I have is I only have one FLX-28 and I fish with my wife allot so we may have to share. Marcum digital sonars and Bird ICE55 already have 5 or 6 color palette. I think the FLX28 is a pretty nice unit and wouldn't mind owning one myself. However lets not over credit such yet. JohnMickish
Its not just the color pallete, the FLX has the option of using four colors instead of the usual three colors to show how close/big the target is.
Esox_Magnum
My LX-7 can use up to 6 colors on the dial....

Mr.Seaguar
I need flashers for my two girls. I was going to get LX3TCs but the Marcum quality reviews are so poor it will be more vexilars.

Not sure what issues there are, but not one issue with any of my 3 LX units, oldest is a first year LX-
Corey Bechtold
Since cold temperatures are in the forecast the next week I am starting to think about ice a little more. Early ice is fun but staying light and safe is important. To save on weight I am going to utilize the new drill plate conversion kit from Clam. This little unit has been highly popular so far at the ice fishing gatherings! Good fishing, Corey Bechtold
muskie hunter
1.5 to two weeks till the ice.
Mr.Seaguar
To save on weight I use apples instead of Culvers. Thank God we ran out of apples today, because I much prefer Culvers.
