Clam Question

I just bought a Clam bigfoot 4000t and used it for the first time. I love the house the some of the zipper tabs broke off and I was wondering what I have to do to have them send me some new tabs. Thanks

email customer service they are awesome up there I stopped in cause I broke a hub they hooked me up and gave me a spare hub at no cost !!!

Did tabs break off because of ice on zippers??

If so a little pm goes a long way. Try to keep water off zippers and keep them lubricated.

Yes, Clam has been experiencing sporadic issues with zipper pulls breaking. It's not happening on all the shelters but a select variety and they are in the process of getting it fixed going forward. However, a quick fix for any broken zipper pulls is to stop at a hardware store and grab a key-ring (or over-sized split-ring)... thread it onto the "D" portion of the zipper and you're good to go. Or just pull a key-ring off your set of keys (I know I have a couple extras on my keys) and you're all set as well.

Otherwise the integrity of the shelter is still perfectly fine, it's just the actual zipper pulls that are breaking, the rest of the shelter is fully functional.

Sorry for the inconvenience/headache with the broken zipper pulls, this is a problem that will not be an issue going forward past this season.

There was no ice on the zippers, it was just really cold out. I have tried emailing clam a couple of times in the past week and have not heard from them. Does anyone have a number I can call?

You can take your clam to any canvas repair place and they will sew a new one in for under $50.

I had the same problem the zipper pull tabs broke, i am waiting to hear back from clam as well, may just make my own zipper pulls

I've had several shelters replaced this year for various zipper and window issues. I'd be curious if it would be worth getting the zippers redone with higher quality metal zippers or if this would wear on the canvas while it is in the bag.
