Forgot this was a day game, missed it but happy we got the two points. We have been holding our spots and even have some games in hand on some other teams. If we can just keep this pace up we are in, but here is hoping we get hot towards the end of the year. Would be nice for a change.

Hey 3rd in the central and winning games on the road, we are certainly trending in the right direction at the right time of year. After some rocky starts to their careers Zucker and Granlund have really turned into some amazing players, like anyone they go hot and cold but I can't really say enough good things about them. Along with Staal they have really carried our offence this year. Hopefully in the next 20 games we can get some other guys going. Coyle can give us more, Nino looks a little off but it sounds like he is still fighting that ankle injury. Parise looks like his old self more and more but just not converting like he use to, hopefully that changes. I was against making a deadline move earlier in the year but if we keep this pace up we really could use another top9 winger, Ennis just isn't cutting it. Absolutely do not want to spend a 1st rounder on anyone at this point but if they can pick up someone decent on the cheap it might be worth it. We still have the majority of the team that was 2nd in the west last year and if they can play up a little closer to their potential there is not reason we can't make some noise in the playoffs in some kind of underdog fashion.

Ok, I must admit that I thought we should have stuck with Yeo before they fired him, but it looks like he still has not learned how to coach a team out of a slump.  St. Louis has lost 6 in a row, fallen out of a playoff spot, and come to town tomorrow.

All the teams in the race made good moves and got stronger....going to be fun to see how it all unfolds...tought to bet against Pitt and TB. Hope the Wild can continue the hot streak and that nobody else gets a long term injury...peaking too ealry or just the right time?

Also, that  give and go between Spurg and Zucker was one of the better plays the Wild have had in a long time IMO...Zucker's maturity this year has been incredible....sure wish Fletch had not spent that foolish money on Koivu and locked up Zucker for at least 5 more yrs.

Can someone tell me why we are paying Ennis 1.1mil more than Staal?  I sure hope they buy the last year of Ennis' contract out, it is also a good thing that Staal is signed through next year.  I would wager if he would hit free agency this summer he would get a pretty hefty raise, maybe we can switch his and Ennis' contract.  Staal is worth every penny of the 3.5mil he is getting.

I think we are saving a million on the pommer contract by paying ennis that much. Looking at their production it is money well saved. Pommers started red hot too and then has kind of vanished.

After we dropped those games to Arizona and the Avs again it looks like we shouldn't have to worry about getting too hot too soon. Still its nice to see Stall, Granny & Zucker do their thing. Defense putting up some really nice numbers as well, a little life out of Koivu and Parise lately. Will need everyone firing on full blast by the end of the year so hopefully Coyle and Nino can start to contribute a little more by then. Pretty brutal schedule to end the year so we will know a lot more about this team soon enough, that stretch should tell us if we are legit or just another speed bumb for a better team.

Yep, this stretch is going to be the kicker. They haven't faired well against the Western Conference teams, especially Pacific Division and here we are, loaded with games against the Pacific, multiple (4 or 5) back to backs coming up too. The schedule isn't easy, this will test their mettle. Aside from their last 2 terrible road games, they actually strung together 4 good ones so hopefully its more that game of 4 trend than the last 2.

if we can get 3 points out of this weekends games, the wild will be in a great position. the tougher games coming up doesn't bother me, as we seem to play our better hockey against the better teams.

Yep not worried either, even going just under .500 puts us at 97 points and that is almost always a lock to make the playoffs. Obviously we don't want to limp into the post season like that but like we saw last year, once you are in nothing else matters. Still a good test to end the season, 3 back to back and the Avs and Yotes have owned us recently. Still I see signs of us heating up at the right time of year, Parise and Koivu have been producing, Nino has looked better the last couple of games and Coyle is starting to put up points here and there. To have any chance to make a run we need everyone to contribute, no passengers.

Agree with this, we have always seemed to up our games a bit so that is good news. Less fun to look good against some of the lesser teams and find a way to lose.

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
