Ice !!!

Well last night locked up my dads pond it about the size of a hockey rink and 6or7 feet deep. It does have springs in it as well.

I need to take a ride and scope out a few ponds today, I haven't left the house since I got home from work friday lol. Tons of snow up here and a massive temp drop though.

Had to break threw 1/2 an inch of Ice duck hunting this morning down here in southern mn

We broke about 1/2" of ice today as well while duck hunting. 

 

On the way home I noticed the following:

 

Lake Francis = 50%

Baxter = locked up

north blue = 50%

east/west hunter = locked up

 

we made a lot of ice overnight with the cold temps and calm winds. Need more nights like that.

Looks like lows will be below freezing every night in the forcast as of now with Temps getting slightly above freezing during the day, could be just the cold weather push we need to get winter started
