No Reb, don't say it, no, no, no...... By the way, I gave up on finding anything to cook at Smurfo's favorite grocery store. Got the staples and came home with a box of pork egg rolls, shrimp egg rolls, and some make-it chow mein. That's a first for me. Didn't even pick up a box of that fried rice to make Reb's Delicious fried rice. Don't feel like cooking tonite. I'm just too worn out after today. Gonna heat 'n eat. That should get my MSG content up high. I'll wash it down with some fresh brewed tea.

I hear ya no fish.  I should get credit though because I have acid reflux and pork is the thing that really triggers it the most.  The pork will just get stuck in my esophagus and it is extremely painful especially when you are new to it because you try to wash it down with water and that just makes it exponentially worse.  I have to make sure I take the medication the day I'm on a pork smoking project or I'm cooked so to speak.

Got a buddy with that.  really sux.  Purple pill (not blue pill that's another story)

Knock on wood but I don't have that problem at this point in my life but obviously it can effect guys.  The first time it worked like a charm and exactly like a guy would hope for.

Time #2 I was heading home after golf and took one and had one beer with the fellas.  I went to leave and I ran into another buddy of mine and he asked me if I wanted a ride home, I was literally fine to drive.  He told me my eyes were beat red. I went and looked in the mirror and you should have seen my eyes!  I guess the reason it works is also a reason it may make your eyes look like the devils.  It's a vasal restrictor or something.

Time #3 and the last time I took one the wife got so mad at me for some reason that it went to waste.  Kind of like training for a marathon and they don't let you run the marathon if you follow me.

Recently a buddy of mine is having a side effect from another medication and they prescribed the V to him.  The prescript came to over $500 so he passed.  They can be expensive depending on your insurance coverage.  They work like a charm and you really can use less than a whole pill for "that little extra boost" and get double the benefit.  Two thumbs  way up! :)

you started the day a little negative and seem to be getting even more negative.  You should change channels to the mental health and fitness forum to cleanse your mind a bit.  It'll do ya good.

That's my job. And, no thanks. I like our forum. It's the MAYO visit and the reason I was there for it. Be glad you weren't me. Don't even say it!  I'll just wave my magic mod wand.  *PFFFFT*   :tired:

Bsides, I'm awaiting for Del to pop in with a soothing mind/body concoction he learned about while traveling with the Sikhs in Malaysia, home to Jasmine grass, er , rice.

As for the pill, if it does the trick you might be willing to pay.  And if not covered by insurance go to the web sight and there is a coupon.  Also, cutting up the big pills works.   Or go to canada....

And, reb, it is Wild Rice that isn't rice.  Ask a biologist...

There is now a generic Sildenafil Citrate...just read about it today at Mayo while waiting in Doc's office. Says most co-pays for it are $10......that's on the up and up. *WHOOPS*

That's ok, LL. You've been feverish. Now I feel like K R A P. Musta been an infected pM or something. I'm gonna go slouch in my recliner and glare at things. Sure could use a drink. A good half glass of VO on the rocks. Ah gawd.

    • Truly sorry to hear that duffman! I know that feeling.  Keep the good memories
    • Chamois passed away this weekend a couple days short of her 13th bday. What a great dog to hang out with here at home and on distant adventures. Gonna miss ya big time my little big girl.
    • Sounds pretty sweet, alright. I will check them out, thanks.
    • If you really want to treat your wife (and yourself) with a remote operated trolling motor, the Minn Kota Ulterra is about easy as it gets.  Auto stow and deploy is pretty awesome.  You just have to turn the motor on when you go out and that the last time you have to touch it.   24V 80lb.  60 inch shaft is probably the right length for your boat.  They ain’t cheap - about $3k - but neither one of you would have to leave your seat to use it all day.
    • Wanderer, thanks for your reply. I do intend for it to be 24 volt, with a thrust of 70-80. Spot lock is a must (my wife is looking forward to not being the anchor person any more).  With my old boat we did quite a lot of pulling shad raps and hot n tots, using the trolling motor. Unlikely that we will fish in whitecaps, did plenty of that when I was younger. I also need a wireless remote, not going back to a foot pedal. We do a fair amount of bobber fishing. I don't think I will bother with a depth finder on the trolling motor. I am leaning toward moving my Garmin depth finder from my old boat to the new one, just because I am so used to it and it works well for me. I am 70 years old and kinda set in my ways...
    • Dang, new content and now answers.   First, congrats on the new boat!   My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V.  80 might be tops?  I’m partial to MinnKota.     How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.     All weather or just nice weather?   Casting a lot or bait dragging?   Bobber or panfish fishing?   Spot lock?  Networked with depth finders?  What brand of depth finders?
    • We have bought a new boat, which we will be picking up this spring. It is an Alumacraft Competitor 165 sport with a 90 horse Yamaha motor. I will be buying and installing a trolling motor,  wondering if I can get some recommendations on what pound thrust I will want for this boat?  Also, I will be selling my old boat, is there a good way to determine the value on an older boat ( mid-80's with a 75 horse 2-stroke  Mariner motor)  I will appreciate any help with these questions.
