man, I remember my grandma used to fry all there steaks and pork chops. they'd use a lot of lard or whatever. when the meat was done it was a dog fight to the fryin pan with bread. they'd dip the bread into all the goodies on the bottom of the pan. maybe why gramps had a heart attack at 62!

this is from the old days when everything was stretched. I still like adding an egg, oatmeal and onions to burger, then grilling it. top with pepper jack cheese!!!!!!!!!

A Tablespoon of Mayo has 10 grams of fat, so a half cup or 8 tbsp has 80 grams of fat.  Two pounds of burger is about 900 grams, so you are increasing the fat percent by 9 percent.  So that 80 percent lean burger becomes 71 percent lean.  No wonder it's juicy/greasy. 

Not that there is anything wrong with that....

How about mixing in a stick of butter, melted?  About same amount of fat and would taste Awesome..
