He may have to be the lead man into the nudist camp with LL right behind him.......

Good morning, what's up with this weather this year. Last two weeks I've  been cutting grass and golfing and I wake up this morning and everything is white and we r supposed to get 2 to 4 inches tonight thru Saturday. Haven't even gotten the fishing equipment out for spring walleye, every time the river level gets just right it rains or snows  and turns it into a muddy mess. I don't know how people sit at home all day and don't work, it's my third day off and I'm bored as heck. Looks like it's going to be a whining,  complaining, boring day . Anyways y'all have a good day

Lovely, lovely morning. 29*, cloudy, windy. Where the he** is Spring?! This carp is insane.Wedder morjits saying lows in 30's thru next week. We aren't gonna have a Spring this year. Just slide right into Fall. Planned on having the boat in the water by next week. That ain't gonna happen. Too many years of cold, sleet, and snow on the river. I like it warm now, plus that cold wet really revs up the RA and spinal issues. Time for coffee and cussing out the weather. Enjoy the day, guys....

Yup same here.  18 now with a high of 25.  Windy from the north too.  I see boats at the Bait shop lined up.  Man am I glad I live here so I don't have to sit in a boat on a cold windy day like this.  I see so many Ranger and Warrior types of boats with new trucks and wonder how much money those guys have tied up in their rigs?  I guess they have to go fish to justify to their wives all the money they have invested.  Well good for them I guess.  I used to fish when it was so rough on the Missouri River that we were on our knees with hip boots on under our rain suits trying not to get thrown out of the boat.  Caught a lot of fish that day too.  Were in second place in the tourney for that one day.  The next day was beautiful and the old guys at that time kicked our you know whats.  It was kind of a hometown reunion tourney that took place every year for about 22 years.  Our Dads had done it for years and then we got involved.  It was an absolute great time.  Miss that.

With all of the wind yesterday I was able to break my floating dock free from the shore ice after work.  Now I can put one of my boats in the water.  And they are not Rangers neither.  :(

On Sunday I might have a couple of pork roasts thawed out and make some breakfast sausage.  I need a good recipe for it.  My wife doesn't like too spicy.  Just a good old standby is what I am looking for.  Of course will check out RH's page too.  I think I will just make it a bulk thing and do 1 lb pkgs.  I can eat the leftovers as a burger on a bun.  Need a change of pace for lunches.

Dotch my brother sent me a pic of lamb chops they were going to put on their Pellet Smoker for his wifes birthday last night.  Neither of us have had lamb for probably 25 years.  Curious to see how he liked them, I would like to try them again too.

Well have a good day everyone.  TGIF.

Did anyone notice it's snowing?  I'm convinced I have Lyme's disease and feel like a clown for not having them check that when I was at the doc.  I'm mostly taking a positive attitude about this and I'm going to live my life like I'm dying for the next little while, yes I know we're all dying.  That said, I told my wife she sucks, is all talk and no action, lies a a lot, and is a major narcissist but I chose better words and was so upset I kind of had the quiver lip.  3 minutes laters she's talking to me like everything's fine.  Sounds like I made an impact? :)

I'm really excited about fishing season and I've got plans to make sure my secondary boat is in tip top working condition.  It isn't used enough so I'm either going to use it more or make sure others know what the new program is.  The new program isn't to get done fishing and leave empty beer cans in the boat, the battery left to the elements, plug not pulled, and gas can empty.  Should be pretty simple.

Mornin' everyone! Snowing here too. Another .01" of precip both at home and at the office. Got the office gauge set up to enter data online through the State Climatology Office. If you're curious about rainfall amounts, you can go online to check at:

http://climate.umn.edu/hidradius/HIDENbrowse_PHP.asp

Go to the box where it says “Find County”. Enter the county you want to look at (for my rain gauge at home it’s Steele, for the New Richland one it’s Waseca) then click on the box where it says “Find County”. The gauge in town is “New Richland s 17” and the gauge at the ranch is "Berlin s7". If you click on the box with the little asterisk * that takes you to the chart of the current month’s rainfall data. Cool, huh? As more of us enter our data online the more rapidly and readily it will become available.

Hearing about LL's lip quiver made me think since the weather sucks, I should curl up with a tincture and watch a Clint Eastwood marathon this weekend. Too much to do tomorrow though. Gotta get more straw and still need to get the mower batteries swapped out as the sale goes off. Maybe Sunday. B)

Dotch pulls the "two houses" card on us.  I'd make fun of it but we have two up north about 2 miles away both on different lakes so no excuse for not catching fish.  What's funny is when I'm working on a project there is a 90% probability the tool I'm needing will be at the other cabin.  The nephews are always will for some windshield time though so within an hour the tool is back in my hands, after a short diversion to the bar up the road.  Great helpers, trained my grandpa.

Dotch- we know one is called "South Fork" what's the other name?  We call ours Marlar and Kabekona.
