You know that flavor you taste when you bite into prime rib, that is the flavor this jerky has! JP Z and eyeguy 54
delcecchi
I'll take your word that the stuff on that list tastes like prime rib. I wouldn't have thought so. MossyMO64
RebelSS
I'm wondering why you think it WOULDN'T...it's good beef, eye of round, slowly dried out so the natural "juice" flavor is throughout it as it's cured...what didja think it was gonna taste like, maple-cured ham?! What is "grill flavor" made of? Overall, it really isn't that bad looking. Not sure what the hydrolyzed soy protein does, but the rest of the stuff actually sounds sort of normal
RebelSS
Hydrolyzed Soy protein is a flavor enhancer, and it has a "meat" type taste. We used to use a lot of it at the butcher shop when making taco meat and patties for a certain company... I also think that there is a maximum daily intake limit of it. There's a place over NW in town here, right off of 7th st, that makes that and flavor additives. When it's cooking, it smells like beef cooking in Worcestershire to me. You can smell it a long ways away. Always made me so $#@! hungry while out raking leaves on a cold day..... Pat K
What is "grill flavor" made of? Maybe it's the stuff you scrape off the grates before you use the grill again? bobberineyes
