Thanks! Just had a change though....found a can of hot chili that I always take when I go ice fishing (wouldn't eat it otherwise) heated that up with added chunks  onions, spooned over the polish dogs, and topped with shredded melted cheddar and green peppers...slobber dogs! :P

That looks and sounds good Eyeguy, what do you call it?

Whipped up a batch of "Italian noodle salad" for lunch for a few days.

It wasn't very long ago, that was the exact same grilled cheese and tomater soup that I ate. I think it was on here that I stumbled across a couple cheap simple upgrades, that I've had ever since.

First, texas bread (the bread that the slices are pretty near twice as thick as normal)

Second, a bit "fancier" soup like progresso hearty tomato.

Third, a cheese like muenster, smoked cheddar, etc. Something you really like.

And fourth, smear butter on one side of each piece of bread, brown it the way you like, then put the cheese between the two browned sides, then butter and brown the outsides like you normally would.

Id bet once you try it, you won't go back to campbells tomato soup until you want to do what you did in the "old days"

And here's the batch of chili for bringing to work and nights I don't feel like cooking. I'll put it in the zip lock bowls after it cools down and put in the freezer until it's needed.

Got the boneless rump in the cooker after marinating all nite with my rib rub and some Worcestershire sauce. Baby carrots on the bottom; 'tatos with Rosemary on the side, giant m'rooms and onions on top, sprinkled with snipped Parsley. Poured some concentrated (1/2 cup water and some beef juice)  Lipton beefy mushroom mix over it all. Off it goes on low to cook in it's own juices until five tonite....:)

Forgot to buy the liner bags though....oiled crock up good.

Outta the crockpot, into the serving dish...

Combined with a bowl of pickled beets...it was perfect...kinda disintegrated when I forked it...

Some dinner rolls woulda been nice, but didn't have any. No flour or cornstarch to make gravy with, either. Fudge. I saved the pot of juices and put them in the freezer for soup stock. Nothing gets wasted around here. ;)
