Mr. Boar, how long is your drawlength? 50 lbs. will be PLENTY for you to deal with! It's a whole different ballgame than the draw weight of a compound as there's obviously no let off with that rig. If you're shooting a bow that has too much draw weight for you to pull, your form will suffer.

Give it a go and see how it goes for you. It'll probably be fine, but if you've got monkey arms you'll be pulling a whole lot of weight! If you're average or less in arm length, you won't be working so hard when you get that knock by your cheek. I hope you get it dialed in and put a hurtin' on a big ol' black bear with it!

Boar, please send me a pm with your address. I will also need to know if you plan to shoot off the shelf or not.

I have several Ben Pearsons that are 52". I can send you both a preshot/broken in Flemish twist and a new Flemish twist.

Then you don't have to worry about getting the wrong one from a shop.

Yup ive been reading and talkingabiut the differences. But ive been working out. Serious tho im aware, but withminum investment. Im gona give it a try to se if i want to dabble in the traditiinal world.. thanks guysm neighbor guy ur way cool ill pm ya. Thanks!!
