O.T.C.
It's a MS 310 Stihl for me. Cut up blowdowns from the past century. Figure out a trail idea to make life easier getting to where I need to go. Explore the northern 1/3 of my land and get shooting lanes cut into that area. See when my crew wants to log off some massive old trees. Cut one window into a blowdown area where nice bucks seem to want to hide. All about the chainsaw, clippers, and ax. O.T.C.
1 more goal, start bow hunting again, my last archery tag was like in 1992. This is the 4th or 5th year in a row where I've added up the buck entries from the outdoor news and it's over 50% bow kills and many/most are very mature bucks. 65% of the best buck winners were by bow this year. 11-17. My love for loading the 30.06 needs to met with the new reality that bow hunting is the best way to tag a mature buck considering the sheer volume of pressure that happens in Novembers gun season and considering how we watch them feed in September sometimes 2 hours b4 dark the big horses are out already walking right past my ladder stands, what am I doing dummy. Took this long to realize this, I'm a slow learner.
