gunner55
Was wondering with all the tungsten jigs out there now, what is everyone using? Palomar,Trilene,Surgeons,Fixed Loop,or I see some talk of a snell knot that most are using.
leechlake
I use the Pal because it's so easy and effective. Sometimes I still use the fisherman's knot with mono but it's mostly out of laziness rather than what the best knot is.

FishinFools
Ok, here is my stupid question: why would a tungsten jig require a knot change? Wouldn't you just use the most effective, quickest knot you can tie with cold fingers, regardless of the lure/jig?Please accept my pre-apology. Because it's heavier and hence...requires a stronger..... DUH????

gunner55
I've seen some tungsten jigs with just a hole thru the jighead,no eyelet to tie to.In order to keep the jig hanging horizontal they recommend a snell knot on the shank of the hook.FF there's no such thing as a stupid question here.Isn't that what this site is about?
