The fish are going strong

We've been drilling holes over deep flats and chasing around active fish during the day! Here is my girlfriend with a dandy 12+ Incher from today around noon or so. Once we find them they are really aggressive and are attacking the lure! Mostly a jig and plastic bite as of late.

12--18"

Thanks, I have to get out of this house soon! You can tell I am climbing the walls by how much time I waste in the Silly Town thread going around in circles with people! I need to get on the Ice! crazy

P.s do you think my smile would be as pretty as your GF's if I caught a 12"er! I do! grin

Leech you gotta stay out of Stupid Town. You can't have discussions with peopled unfettered by logic or reason.

Jim that's a nice fish your lovely girlfriend is holding. Careful, hot girlfriends turn into sassy wives.

I'm really trying but I'm so bored without fishing or hunting right now! frown

Jim, you are right about a plastic bite right now. Today, we found some scattered fish that bit waxes/larva for a while than would just chase and not bite. I switched over to a plastic (dug into my 8 yr olds box) and gave it a shot. They quickly became bitters and bigger. I have rarely had success with plastics for winter panfish, so I haven't given them much time. You all on here have mentioned some brands and styles, so I grabbed some for the son to play with. It paid off for me today. I may give plastics a little more time now.

Exactly, they don't work all the time but they do have their time and place. I use them as my search lure, plastic tipped tungsten jig. Neutral fish are more turned onto live bait, aggressive and negative fish can be charmed into biting plastics, that's my experience so far anyways.
