Last night we put away the open water gear.

Fresh charged batteries, ran the gas line out, added stabil, power sprayed with hot water, soap, scrubbed and rinsed, dried, opened up all the compartments to air out, took out sweaters, jackets, gloves etc etc. cleaned out live well and put in garage til spring. (I have always changed my lower unit oil in the spring). What are some other thugs you guys do?

Also need to remember to give a quick charge every now and then to the batteries...

Fall fishing has just started.

Yepper even way up here in NW Mn on the Canada border we're still doing the openwater thing though fall season is a winding down for sure. I had some excellent fishing on the big pond thru October thats for sure and it sounds like things are maybe starting to get rolling on the river. Ice season can wait till December, hopefully late December as it gets cold long enough way up here and after last winter I'd like to see an unseasonably warm and short winter for a change. We always get 3 foot of ice anyhows.

It's not a good idea to wait until spring to change the lower unit oil. If it has water in it, freezing could crack the lower unit case, and it also has all winter to corrode parts inside. Drain and replace in the fall.
