Gordie
I recently knurled the handle of a spear for a guy from Illinois and I think it turned out nice.

bowhunt
I really like the shape and style of the tines, I think you are going to have one happy customer.
Early Riser
Absolutely brilliant work Gordie….The business end reminds me of a Gustus Brainerd spear right down to the barb work. The knurled handle is similar to a Moening "Dillo" and the tie end is unique, and excellent too.
9tine
Beautiful spear Gordie. I'm a big fan of knurled handles for overall feel.
pikestabber
How does that process work? My favorite spear has a knurled handle but I never thought about the process of doing it. Great work!
Gordie
How does that process work? My favorite spear has a knurled handle but I never thought about the process of doing it. Great work! Its a set of cutters on a tool holder that is fixed to the tool post on the lathe, then it is placed in the desired location and the drive on the lathe makes it travel forward and back on the lathe each pass the cutter has more cutting pressure added to it until desired knurl is achieved.
