Door County

Had a nice relaxing week in Door County last week. A few photos from a very cool part of the country! If you haven't had the chance to visit give it a try, some great fishing as well. I didn't get much chance to fish but tried fly fishing carp and casting for smallies from a kayak.

On a side note my wife and both shoot a number of photos with our Samsung Galaxy S5's. Very impressive photo capabilities except in low light. The panoramic feature and HDR feature really stands out.

1. Some wonderful farmland!

2. Milky way and nebula over Lake Michigan along with shooting star. Most days were cloudy last week so this was a rare view of the stars.

3. Some Lake Michigan wave action.

5. Lone sailboat along the Strawberry Islands in Green Bay.

6. An interested young friend.

7. Road to Northport, the ferry loading point to Washington Island. Famous stretch of highway in Door County for obvious reasons.

8. So many beautiful fields, this one was on Washington Island!

9. Washington Harbor on the north side of Washington Island and Schoolhouse Beach. One of only 5 in the world with perfectly smooth stones. $250 fine to pick a rock and take it with you!

Beautiful work. What's the fine for skipping those rocks back into the water? Plenty of tempting skippers there.
