I have steel siding that is 20 years old. Lots of trees that make a mess. Between the spider webs and the cottonwood mess every year I end up having to wash the house by hand - get up on a ladder and wipe it down with a rag and soapy water. Lots of fun. Armor All auto soap. A power washer won't get all the dust and grime off. Don't put white siding on your house, or cut down all the trees!

The key to washing siding is not pressure. It's the right chemicals for the job mixed with lots of volume of water. 4 GPM minimum.
