Are the walleye starting to bite yet?

Tried storm, lost island, ans silver last two weeks no luck.

Different part of the state and different kind of water, but around here in Johnson and Linn County the low water levels and cold weather have us running a week or two behind schedule. Not much in the way of consistent walleye action so far this spring on Macbride or the rivers.

I'm hoping that changes this weekend.

Bumped into a few shallow spawners indvertently, fishing for smallies on big spirt yesterday. Water still cool tho. 46-49 main lake the last two weekends a row.

Well I've heard a few reports of the walleye starting to pick up at Storm. Anyone else hearing anything?

I was on Spirit the last week and I caught several slot fish. The temps were about 47 degrees on opener and about 54 degrees on Friday when I left.

Storm is really slowing down compared to last weekend, still managed a nice two man limit of 6 15 and 16 inch eye's but the numbers of hookups was way down in comparison to last weekend.

Did great on Spirit over the holiday weekend....

Did really good around here this weekend too. Caught fish up to 24". Both leeches and crawlers put fish in the boat. Our best time was from 9 am until around 1 pm

Yes we fished Spirit all weekend but don't start till the sun goes down....

Saw that you guys have really clear water over there right now. Would love to get over there and get in on the action but the fishing around here has been too good to justify the extra drive.
